The enclosure of R2i is hand-crafted from materials chosen for their exceptional acoustic properties and finished in a Rich Walnut veneer. This finish combines perfectly with the cool steel panels and mesh grilles to create a tactile feel to match R2i’s elegant design. The distinctive ‘RotoDial’ controller sits atop of the unit making operation easy and intuitive.

 

The look of R2i exudes style, but sonically it’s equally impressive with custom made high-fidelity speakers and electronics providing a scale and quality of sound that simply belie the R2i’s discreet dimensions.

 

The high contrast display with large format clock makes reading time and program information clearly legible, even from afar.

 

On the front panel a headphone socket is provided along with a line input allowing quick and easy connection of other audio devices. A useful function is that the headphone volume is ‘remembered’ independently from the main speaker volume, so if headphones are plugged in the volume reverts to the users last selected level.

 

On the rear panel are two pairs of high quality gold-plated phono sockets. The first provides output for recording or hook-up to secondary systems and the second provides an additional input for the permanent connection of a CD/MP3 player or TV/DVD.

 

Completing R2i is a compact remote control that enables all key R2i and iPod functions to be set and operated from the comfort of a chair or bed.
